Barossa Valley, South Australia.

Solely French oak for maturation, about 20% of which was new.

The nose presents a nice spectrum of redcurrant, blueberry and black fruit with some violet overtones. The attack is soft and round, then pure, rich and mouthcoating. There’s a powdery feel to the tannins across the palate but there’s a clinging firmness that builds, becoming stony on the back-palate. A lovely wine to follow as it unfurls, super plush, then minerally and focused on the long, winning finish.

"This 2020 Shiraz Seven Acre is a classic release from Greenock Creek that will have fans in a spin with its decadent levels of seamless fruit. Opaque in color, it delivers lashings of blackberry and cocoa aromas, delivering a granitic minerality with surprising poise and focus. The palate is densely packed with flavor and beautifully balanced with powdery tannins bringing a long, sustained finish. Already very enjoyable; it will only get better."
