The Château Haut-Bages Libéral enjoys a prime geographical position, situated on the banks of the Garonne on the Bages plateau to the south of the Pauillac appellation. Château Haut-Bages Libéral is based on a 30-hectare vineyard planted on clay-limestone and deep gravel soils. The grape varieties are 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot. The wines are aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, of which the proportion of new wood is around 40%.
